Corrugated cement roof or sheeting that needs removing?
Corrugated cement was used everywhere across Yorkshire: garage and outbuilding roofs, lean-tos, extensions, porches, old rainwater goods. A lot of it contains asbestos. It’s usually grey, wavy and brittle with age.
While it’s in good condition and left alone, it’s low risk. Once it’s cracked, leaking, being taken down, or you’re reroofing, it needs removing by someone certified to do it. The same goes for the asbestos cement gutters and downpipes that often came with it.
We remove the sheets, the rainwater goods and any other cement products, take the lot away and hand you the paperwork to prove it was disposed of legally.

Is my roof asbestos?
If it’s grey, corrugated cement on a garage, outbuilding, lean-to or extension and it’s a few decades old, it very likely contains asbestos. So can the gutters and downpipes. You can’t be sure by looking, so send us a photo and we’ll tell you.

Do you take the gutters and downpipes too?
Yes. Asbestos cement rainwater goods are removed along with the roof and taken away with everything else.

We wouldn’t recommend it. Roof work means working at height, the sheets snap easily, and broken cement releases fibres. It’s the job most worth leaving to a certified team.
How long does it take?
