Old shed or outbuilding with an asbestos roof?
Plenty of sheds, outbuildings, garden stores and old coal bunkers across Yorkshire have corrugated cement roofs, and a lot of that cement contains asbestos. If the roof is grey, wavy and getting on a bit, it’s worth checking before you touch it.
It’s fine left alone while it’s sound. The problems start when you want to pull the shed down, when the roof cracks, or when it’s already come down in the wind and you’ve got broken sheets in the garden.
We take away the roof, or the whole shed, dispose of it properly and hand you the paperwork to prove it.

Is my shed roof asbestos?
If it’s grey, corrugated cement and the shed or outbuilding is a few decades old, there’s a good chance it contains asbestos. You can’t be certain by looking, so send us a photo and we’ll tell you.
How much does asbestos shed removal cost?

Do you take the whole shed or just the roof?
Whichever you need. We can lift just the asbestos roof or clear the whole shed and leave you a tidy space.
My shed roof has already broken. Can you still take it away?
Yes. If it’s come down or cracked, we’ll collect the sheets, wrap them safely and dispose of them at a licensed facility.
Can I remove an asbestos shed roof myself?
Some of it is legal for homeowners, but it has to be handled, wrapped and disposed of correctly at a licensed site. Most people would rather we deal with it and hand over the paperwork.
How long does it take?
